In 2017, our team discovered the potential for converting warm water into electricity during a visit to Iceland. Seeing the massive potential for geothermal applications, we founded Baseload Capital to fund geothermal projects worldwide. We then established Baseload Power to develop and operate these projects. Today, we have power companies operating in Japan, Taiwan, the U.S., and Iceland, working towards our vision of a planet in balance. We are a team of six in the US, and close to 50 colleagues worldwide.

  Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and develop the local Baseload Power team and ensure accountability for results.
    
  • Lead the work in Baseload Power US to build structure capital in line with initiatives from Baseload Capital group.
    
  • Accountable for the P&L and business plan of Baseload Power US, and its subsidiaries, aligning it with Baseload Capital's global strategy.
    
  • Accountable for the geothermal project development in the US, including business development, land lease, permits, exploration, drilling, construction, offtake and operation & maintenance.

    As the Country manager of Baseload Power US, you ensure that we don't just keep up with change but drive it. You act as the catalyst for our success, embodying the values that make Baseload a resilient, innovative, and pioneering force in the renewable energy industry.
    This is you:
    
    • 
      
    • Extensive experience in leadership and stakeholder management.
      
    • Experience from the energy sector, ideally from geothermal or a closely related industry.
      
    • Experience with transitioning from start-up to scale-up, ideally in the energy sector.
      
    • Experience of managing complex structures with multiple subsidiaries and intercompany agreements.
      
    • Relevant graduate degree, MBA, MSc or similar.
      
    • Experience from joint ventures is meritorious.
