Responsibilities
Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada
Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located
at 6223 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer
acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services. -Our
acute rehabilitation services include occupational, speech, and
physical therapy for adults recovering from stroke, injury, or
another disabling condition. We offer advanced treatment for a wide
range of conditions including stroke, brain injury, amputation,
neurological disorders, major multiple traumas and spinal cord and
back injuries. All patients will experience private rooms, have
access to a newly renovated therapy gym, and personalized care from

- Clinical Supervisor, Registered Nurse opportunity is full time,
offers full benefits - and offers a convenient night shift
schedule. This position is for our New Rehab Hospital located in
Northwest Reno. -This position performs a dual function, clinical
and managerial. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the
clinical setting, performs disciplinary actions, and participates
in hiring and termination of staff. Communicates with
physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes
in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic
studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and
accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. -Job
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides direct and indirect patient care as necessary,
assessing current patient care situations, priorities and
needs.
- Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient's
response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for
effectiveness.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Hospital policy related to: emergency
preparedness, fire, hazardous materials and waste, medical
equipment, safety, security and utilities and understands role and
expected level of participation.
- Utilizes standard precautions; complies with OSHA standards
pursuant to blood borne pathogen, tuberculosis and hazardous
material and waste; complies with infection control policies
including isolation precautions and consistent hand hygiene.
- Employee takes an active role in performance improvement teams
that may include NPSG, HCAHPS and core measures or other process
improvement activities.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Current NV State Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS - (may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- PALS certification may be required for specific departments .
(or must be able to obtain within six-months).
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing -required or enrolled in an
accredited program within one year of -employment or transfer into
supervisory role.
- A minimum of 3-years recent clinical nursing expeirence
requried. -
- Previous clinical supervisor experience preferred.
