  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience.
  • Monitor patients, provide sedation and assist anesthesiologist with general anesthesia for common procedures such as stroke intervention, diagnostic and therapeutic angiography, kyphoplasties, biopsies, drains, clot retrieval, aneurysm coilings and stents.
  • Provides nursing services to Neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and families.
  • Requires scientific knowledge base and ongoing growth and learning.
  • This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process.
  • The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care.
  • The RN coordinates care between other professionals as needed.
    • Job Requirements
    • Required Certifications/Licenses: BLS, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T. (R) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
    • State of Nevada Radiation Control Program License will need to be obtained prior to start.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shift: 4x10, Variable Shifts to include some Saturdays
      • Call Requirements: Call is required on some nights and some weekends
      • Will be expected to work 2/3 major holidays unless RTO is requested/approved
      • Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract. This may be full or partial shifts.
      • Schedule varies based upon department needs. Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.

        • Unit Description: 3 IR suites, 1 CT interventional suite, and out-patient Interventional Radiology.
          • Additional Details
          • Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.
